OCATE NEWS

Portland State University is committed to meeting the educational and workforce needs of Washington County. In order to better serve the high technology community and expand overall course programming to this growing region, PSU is making changes in the way it delivers engineering and computer science courses in Washington County and is consolidating the functions of OCATE (The Oregon Center for Advanced Technology) into the School of Extended Studies as of June 30, 2006.

While the administrative infrastructure of OCATE will be eliminated, the commitment by the University to serve this region is firm and PSU expects there to be more diverse offerings available.
